...Today happends to be one of mine. This week has been hard at work, I've been running out of food and unable to go to the store for more. Choices have been hard to come by. Today, I've made a couple of bad choice, I didn't have enough for lunch and someone had potato soup she had brought in for people, I was stressed out and hungry and I had some, it was so good too. I also had chocolate....so needless to say today was a test of many things in life and didn't do so well. I also had Subway for dinner. GOD what a bad day...not because I consider Subway a cheat meal but because today was so busy and stressful that if i hadnt planned it an off day it would have been an automatic all day. I'm not even explaning my feelings correctly for crying-out-loud. I'm going to bed to wake up to a better day tomorrow....Goodnight....
Ps. my body still feels stronger all around, but my arm still hurts. I needed these past two day's off!!
Kerry, don't be so hard on yourself. Life happens. Every day is a challenge. Just forget about it and look at it as today is brand new. I had a horrible Sunday of eating. So Monday, I was so looking forward to having a great day and starting over. Well, I dropped my chicken breast lunch on the floor so I had to go buy lunch. Got a salad from Chickfila with gross fast food grilled chicken that I barely had any of. Then went to CFW to get a great workout in but didn't beat my time from last time I did the same wod and was SO upset with myself. But oh well, Tuesday was a new day and so on. I'm over it and setting a new PR last night with the overhead squat helped.
ReplyDeleteLong story short...it is ONE DAY out of a million days. Don't pay attention to the bad meals...its the good meals that count too:)
Esther said it perfectly - life happens, we all have those days. Goodness knows, i've been slipping lately and adding in hot chocolate on almost a daily basis, as well as coffee with creamer, diet coke...horrible stuff right? Maybe, maybe not - in order for this lifestyle to be sustainable you have to tweak it to make it fit your style. And, that also includes knowing that you can't be 'on' all the time - no one can. Like Esther said, its one day out of a million and all the good stuff you've done for your body seriously outweighs the 'off' days.
ReplyDeleteGet ready for a great day tomorrow!!:-)
Ahhh thanks guys!! I'm glad to know that I'm not theonly one out there having off days/weeks, and by weeks I'm saying/meening with workouts, I'm tired! And it's hard trying to fit everything in, every day and every week. I have a moarathon coming up and I'm tired NOW? Jeesh. So I'm going to take it easy up until the marathon.
ReplyDeleteSee ya'll soon.
